IMO 2♥ = 10, 3♥ = 9, 2♦ = 8, 2♠ = 7. At MPs, there's less incentive for bidding games.

Invites will be rejected, so it doesn't really matter what you bid. I thought spades would play better than hearts, even with singleton across, so I went for that suit.

In practice East decided to bid 3♦ over 2♠ and went for a number. ooops..
