How do we play on BBO to have Rubber Bridge scoring instead of Duplicate?

Total Points tables are the closest thing to rubber bridge. but there is no carryover so isn't really close.

The old, download version of BBO offers rubber bridge. The web and mobile versions don't -- you have a choice between total points or duplicate.

There is still a community of Rubber Bridge players in the Relaxed room.

But you can no longer download the Windows client, or create new accounts with it. So the rest of the players can't see or join Rubber Bridge games. So Rubber Bridge on BBO will dwindle and die out. Which is a shame because Vanderbilt's game is a good card game.

That is NOT true. First, I went to the Main Page.

Then, I read "Looking for our older downloadable Windows program? Click here" and clicked, then downloaded the BBO Client.

Whether that link is visible depends on what country you're in.

And even if you can download it, if your account was created after September 2012, you can't login with the old version.

I think it is a shame that the modern interface does not support rubber.

It may defy logic that I should feel that way, as I cannot imagine myself personally ever making use of the facility. And realistically I doubt that it would have any positive effect on BBO's business model.

And yet despite acknowledging that, the service seems somehow incomplete without it.
