Looks like South did choose the right time to strike, as he managed to jam one of the best hands you held this year.

Having doubled (agree?), you're now at the crossroads. No special agreements here, and you can't be 100% sure pard has 5 hearts.

So, what now?

I would have bid 3N, btw, altho this is a max. The last thing we want is to have partner bid a lebensohl 2N...wtf do we do then? Bid 3N, I suppose, having managed to wrong-side it. With luck opener would hold KQ9xxx and the diamond Ace, with partner something like xx Qx QJ10xx xxx.

I would pass, there is no source of tricks and partner seems to have 2 or 3 spades.

The "solution" was RKCB + 6. 6NT also makes, but requires taking a view (strip squeeze on South).
