...is definitely NOT this.

Particularly trick 3. Unfortunately, after this blunder, I did not find the squeeze in the pointy suits.

How can you complain about the defence when you bid 3nt on this? Look to the bidding first.

Umm ... because the latter does not excuse the former?
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

No, but this is a classic case of pot-kettle, as are so many GIB posts.

It depends what you think is the motivation for the post. They are not seeking sympathy (nor praise when it works), but a better GIB.

As with "so many GIB posts", if they only posted hands where the human behaved sensibly, then exposure of some of GIB's glaring errors would be unnecessarily delayed.

There are a lot of GIB posts where GIB behaves logically based on mistaken belief in a partner who has departed from spec, and such posts are rightly criticised (which criticism invariably flows on a case by case basis). I don't see this thread as such an example.

If you think that, by substituting for South a "genuine" hand consistent with his 3N bid, the defensive action is reasonable, then I am open to convincing.

the hog is as polite as ever, but he has a point. 3NT shows 16+ HCP, so both robots placed you on a different hand, each giving you some of their partner's HCP. So GIB W saw you're going to make anyway and played randomly to trick 3.

forget trick 3 just another example of Gib playing a random card that could cost.

Look at trick 1, why isn't Gib leading a sequence K from KQJ? to beat contract all you need is declarer to have Ax and partner to have an entry and 3+
and for opp not to have 9 top tricks.
Sarcasm is a state of mind
