GIB basic 2/1 bidding

I understand GIB plays 2C over 1D as forcing for one round and not GF. But what happened to bidding 1S and parking it when I rebid 1NT? Seems a stretch here.

I suspect Gib is upgrading its hand based on long and shortness in your suit . This is very bad bridge should downgrade due to shortness in partner's suit not upgrade.

The GIB bidding detail is not very detailed in that area. I don't actually know if GIB plays the Weak 6-4 or not. I will try to remember to check the next time the auction goes 1m-1M-1NT, whatever hand I may be holding.

I did check and in fact GIB does play Weak 6-4. Apparently this hand was too good, at least as a passed hand.
