I just played a hand in a BBO tourney where they couldn't have been more obviously cheating if they tried... what's the easiest way to send it to the relevant people?

Also, what's the policy if they're confirmed? I hope instant permaban?

send email to abuse@bridgebase.com

Or, if you're viewing the hand in your hand records, click on Export Deal then Send To Member and send it to abuse .

Can we see the deal with player names stripped? I am curious what "obvious cheating" is. Not that I don't believe you, just interested.

Isn't there a danger that if he shows us the hands we can inspect the hand records to find his opponents?

Right.

There should be no posting of any details of cheating accusations here in the forum.

Isn't this somewhat academic? Took me about 90 secs on his "my hands" page to figure out which hand it was.

You must have been distracted if it took that long B-)

(Although I actually DON'T really think this is cheating.... I think it's more likely that S misclicked his opening, and N's 6N is certainly a bad beginner bid but it's not TOTALLY out of left field)

That is what I think also. Although, I guess I think the response is less bad than you think it is, given the random matchpoints event.

It's bad because they're basically no reason not to keycard and see if you can count to 13.

In RKC, if partner shows K, AKQ, and K, can't you still really only count 2 + 5 + 3 + 2 = 12 tricks?

OK, I saw the hand. IMO this is not evidence of cheating. People sometimes misclick, or even psych. Sure blasting 6NT is bad, but this is routine on BBO.

More to the point, so what? The slam will often be bid and always made anyway, regardless of lead. Or are you hoping to overcall hearts and play an undoubled partscore? Good luck.

Nevertheless, I assume (hope beyond hope) that the detectives who found the hand scroutinized it and decided it was not cheating before posting it on the forum.

It might not be the best bidding sequence (I've seen more bizarre jumps into the unknown) but there is no evidence of cheating.

It is clear that the hand was played out - scoring 13 tricks. So - why an AVG== score?

I'm just speculating, but... they probably got AVG scores because the tournament rules prohibit psychs, and EW called the director and reported the psych, so the director voided the board.

Yes, it certainly appears that everyone who investigated independently came to the "no evidence of cheating" conclusion.

Assuming a misclick, why not ask for an undo?

This was a tournament, not MBC; the majority of tournaments do not allow undo.
