How to explain North's bid of 4♥? I've come up with the following possibilities:

1. North realized it had overlooked an Ace when it bid only 2♥ and took the opportunity to correct the error.

2. North's hand got better as the auction progressed in light of the fact that it had only one wasted high card.

3. The programmers are Calvinists and South needed to be held to account for his second double.
