We lost 13 IMPs on this one. I could have described my hand better, by insisting on diamonds before giving up in 3NT. No thorough agreements for me and ritong, 2/1 std - that was it :)

Here's how the bidding went at both tables:

In a previous post, ritong rebids his 6-card minor before introducing his 4-card major, at the 4-level. In contrast, in this post, Diana-eva reverses into a major, rather than rebid her 6-card minor, cheaply. Here the economical approach might work better.
IMO, when playing with a strange partner, especially against JEC, you should adopt a complete comprehensive on-line FD system-card. Any amendment, addition, or deletion to be agreed in writing before adoption.

Quite an interesting end position.

North has no club threat but is squeezed into discarding club from xxx to expose partner's Qx dropping.

Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Is it just me, or does this sound like a recommendation to use FD to cheat?

On the hand, I think Diana_Eva needs to show the six diamonds, either over 2C directly or by bidding 3D over 2nt.
