If you lead partners suit that you have supported without honour, do you think it is most useful to confirm your length by leading 3th or is it more useful to lead high (even if your length is not sure)?
Or does it depend on the rest of your hand (f.i.: it is likely that a switch will be good)?

Examples:

1H-(2C)-2H-(3C)
4H-(P)-P-(5C)
DBL-AP
- You lead H from 932. Do you prefer to lead the 9 or the 2 (because 2H bid can also be a 4cH)?

1H-(P)-2H-(DBL)
P-(3C)-AP
- You lead H from 932. Do you prefer to lead the 9 or the 2 (because 2H bid can also be a 4cH)?

2H-(2S)-3H-(3S)
AP
- You lead H from 932. Do you prefer to lead the 9 or the 2 (because 3H bid can also be a 4cH or maybe a doubleton)?

2H-(P)-3H-(DBL)
P-(4S)-AP
- You lead H from 932. Do you prefer to lead the 9 or the 2 (because 3H bid can also be a 4cH or maybe a doubleton)?

top of nothing. it's 99% to be a 3 card suit.

Phillip Alder's favorite topic ( newspaper bridge columnist ) :

- - If you HAVE supported, and have 3+ cards, lead low from an honor or lead top-of-nothing .

- - If you have NOT supported, and have 3+ cards, always lead LOW ( not promising an honor ) .

P-(2S)-AP
What do you lead from
T862
T982
The T; or second followed by highest (to distinguish 3-card from 4-card)?
