North is showing a 4spade 6 diamond hand with game going values.

There is a name for this convention. I use to know, however I have forgot.
Does someone know the name.

Perhaps you are thinking of a trump swiss bid?

Though, that bid would not promise 6 diamonds usually.

Yes, it was called a Walsh fragment; but it wasn't accurately described by that, and has remained the Convention With No Name.

There is an extension in use by a very few of us: No matter which Minor has been opened,

4C=4-6+ and a real moose (slammish).
4D=4-6+ but less.

The fragment or stiff is not disclosed by the CWNN.
