IMPs, ACBL robot individual

Assuming only Kxxxxx and no other card in South's hand for his/her opening bid and free rebid, 5 depends on no more than a finesse and is virtually laydown if South has a singleton (I think only 2-0 s combined with 6-0 s beat it). Yet here we are (all 28 of us) in 2 cold for 7. Let me guess. North's simulation couldn't resolve how high to raise clubs and so it defaulted to "pass." The auctions only got above the 2-level if South opened or rebid in NT; NT bids would have discouraged a human North (wasted values opposite the void), while the failure to bid NT, suggesting values outside s, would have encouraged.

And if North can't find a way to raise , shouldn't it at least bid an invitational 3?

Probably only 11+ between partnership, not enough for Gib to get excited.

Thanks for reporting.

It will be addressed for improvement from responder's side as GIB might need more followns there.

At first place here cuebid 2 ( or any suit they've shown ) would be fixed so GIB could easily force to game and later to give fit.

Would not the act of cue bidding 2S itself confirm fit? Whether also GF may be up for debate.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

2 ( cuebid suit they've shown ) confirms only GF.

Also in next version would be added something which GIB currently doesn't use, Splinters over the rebid of minor opening.

So here the hand would even use splinter instead, confirming GF + fit in clubs.

or the auction would be:

1 - X - 1 - 1
2 - P - 3 -> !Splinter -- 3+ ; 4+ ; 1- ; 12+ HCP; 13+ total points; forcing

Similar behavior would apply also in uncontested auction. Jump in suit over responder's major would be splinter.

Otherwise GIB would use either opponent's suit to force or if on disposal the 3rd suit.
