2H. Easy game force, and slam might be in the picture depending on partner's hand. Even with a misfit, this would be a game force.

Please no, they are bad enough the way they are already.

"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."

I tried 2H but when I ran Jack it suggested 1NT on the basis that the Hearts weren't good enough.

Based on results from the world computer bridge championships, I was under the impression that Jack was a far superior program than GIB. This is such a basic auction that I'm surprised that the Jack programmers haven't made a fix by now.

Jack plays many systems and not all are equally well implemented
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

That's a good point. Anecdotal, but when left to its own devices it does like to play Dutch Doubletone/Biedermeijer or English Acol which I suppose should be no surprise given the author's background. I'll take more notice of the systems it chooses in competition.
