There is no problem in this sequence, but 2 is alerted as 9hcp.
I think 9hcp is inappropriate,it is better to be alerted as 7-9hcp.

I guess it is pick on Lycier day.

You opened a 15-17 1NT with a bad 14. Partner's 2S gave you an easy pass for a normal result, but you jump to game. You bid WAY too much.

Given that the alternative would be a transfer, giving no chance to reach Hearts, I prefer Stayman.

Surely the point is that next time I, you, Lycier or whoever will have a 16 count 1N opener and after the same sequence up to 2S will bid on the assumption that P has a 9 count, because that is what it says in the scrip.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Its not a bad 14 for NT playing the long finesse strategy.
