You opened a 15-17 1NT with a bad 14. Partner's 2S gave you an easy pass for a normal result, but you jump to game. You bid WAY too much.
Given that the alternative would be a transfer, giving no chance to reach Hearts, I prefer Stayman.
Surely the point is that next time I, you, Lycier or whoever will have a 16 count 1N opener and after the same sequence up to 2S will bid on the assumption that P has a 9 count, because that is what it says in the scrip.
