Description of N's 4 4+ 11+ hcp

has 2 and 7 so something went wrong

Your 3 is not good, you have a min with 1 4-card major you should bid so you don't end up in a 4-3

4D?? Another candidate for the strangest bid ever made by GIB. Why can't it just jump to 4H over the double?

There are so many inexplicable bids that GIB makes it's hard to keep track of them all. My favorite was when I opened 1 with a 5 card club suit and 13 count, LHO overcalled 1, and GIB made a negative double with 8 card club support. I was stunned when I gave a sluff-ruff on the opening lead.

I think that there is a case for saying that the North hand is too strong for an immediate 4H over the double, and risk of missing slam. That does not excuse the 4D bid, mind.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

It's ridiculous that GIB bids that way, but at least we now have an idea of what it actually has, based off of these two hands.

When the auction goes (1m) - X - 2m ; 3m - 4om, 4om is a transfer to Hearts.
"It's not enough to win the tricks that belong to you. Try also for some that belong to the opponents."

"Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself."

"One advantage of bad bidding is that you get practice at playing atrocious contracts."

That's all fine but if the description isn't corrected it wont help most people.

And what is just bidding 4 does that show ?

Also what if your fit is in the other minor, is there any way to play in that suit?
