cannot type in Safari for Windows browser

This isn't a big deal, since I can always use a different browser, but sometimes I forget. When I call up BBO in Safari on the lone Windows machine I have in my house, I remember that I cannot type in any of the usual chat places, even though I see the prompt. Safari on my Macs have no such trouble, so I was just wondering why this might be.

Does Apple really still support Safari on Windows? I think you may be the first person I've ever heard of that uses it.
