I think 1430 generally gains for clubs. Yes, it goes wrong when you have 3 keycards and want to know whether partner has 0 or 1, but more commonly (in my experience) you have 2 keycards and want to know whether partner has 1 or 2.

It' d be suggest for the case of 0 keys to save 5♣ bidding. For the other situations should be ininfluent if 30 or 14.
