Obviously this doesn't come up all that often, but I have noticed that when I open 1NT, partner transfers, I accept, then GIB bids a minor, all my continuations either deny 3 of the major or 4 of the minor. Is there any bid one can make that leaves open the option of both?

With a good human partner I like to play that raising the minor shows both 3 of the major and 4+ of the minor, leaving the other major as a cue showing a good hand for the minor without 3 of the major.

Let us know how this works when you do it with GIB. If you agreed it with humans (some humans) it might be playable.

It used to be like that ( raising minor showed two fits ) but change was reverted in previous version. Now you show only one fit, though for minor you have two options, to bid unbid suit below 3NT or raise minor directly on level 4.

Yep. Adopted the inaccurate Spanish version of my name a long time ago when "Waterman" was already taken on sites which required a username.
