AVG found a Malware Program on 7/2/2013 on my computer: ie4uinit.exe
Full path: C:\Windows\System32\ie4uinit.exe

Details:
1 process terminated
3 files deleted
4 registry keys deleted

Files Deleted:
Web Slice Gallery.url
IEFRAME.DLL
IE4UINIT.EXE

All 4 Registry keys deleted. I can list them if you need them.

I am thinking that the DLL file is critical and I may need a new driver.

Since 7/2, I cannot enter BBO via the downloaded program. I get in and the players in the lobby load, then Message Block pops up with:

NetBridgeVu.exe has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Since Windows does not offer a solution, I decided to write to you :D

I uninstalled the program and downloaded it again and opened it and same thing happened.

Can BBO programmers offer suggestion? I much prefer the downloaded program to the web based variety.

Thanks so much! fifee
Lord, help me choose the words I use and make them short and sweet.
We never know from day to day which ones we'll have to eat.

You could try uninstalling, erasing the c:\bridge base online\ ( make a copy first if there is anything u need in there - chatlogs, older hand records )
and *then* reinstalling.

You could also try editing c:\bridge base online\bbover.ini and change

BROWSER_TYPE=C
to
BROWSER_TYPE=E

This will make it use an external browser for popups. Not ideal but might work

This issue only affects the download version, but our records show that you use the web version. Why is it a problem? You can just uninstall the downloaded application.
