a close match throughout a couple of bidding miscues btn gszeszycki-nige1 and a final board xx by
Philking-cameron1 to try and pull off a 13+ point swing on the last board. Final score -28. As you can
guess from the topic we have another shot at JEC SAT 5/11 2pm EST come one come all and lets
put together a great team and have some heated discussion on how to decide who is going to play
if we have too many I KNOW not everyone likes my idea so lets hear others:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

If lefty had accidentally exited with a trump we get +1080 instead of -1000, which is a victoy by one imp.

It was a horrendous double at the state of the match.

I am confirming with Larry about this date. He should be back by the date in question, and we wish to play the entire way using C-cubed (strong club, 4 card majors, canape, variable NTs).

Side note: the team played courageously today.

Cameron and Phil played well throughout! Thank you both for putting up with gszes and me! It was great fun! I watched the last few boards. On the last board, double gave us a sporting chance :) The redouble was courageous but tactically imperative :) Had East a more, I reckon the bidding would have been the same and the result different :)

Not sure about my 6 flight of fancy when you side had 12 diamonds (though I prefer it to the 5 call chosen in the other room since I am more likely to induce a phantom).

Putting it on my calendar, Saturday, May 11.
Ultra Relay: see Daniel's web page: http://bridgewithdan...stems/Ultra.pdf

C3: Copious Canape - Improved version of Ultra Relay, notes not posted yet.

Scrap heap: Canapé Attack System with Strong and 4-cd Major openings ...

Back to the Future? Using 1 &1 responses to Strong 1 as Positive Exclusion Color Bids.

NOW playing a Mosca (Nightmare-Fantunes-Millennium like) system with canapé, 11-14 NT with Keri Invites and Intermediate 2 bids (10-14), & 15+ 1 opener with transfer negatives @ 1-level & transfer positives @ the 2- and 3-levels. Canape after opening 1 or 1 (into a minor suit only). Playing Naturelle in another partnership.

Larry and I have been practicing - who else is getting prepared?

I actually have a Saturday off, so I messaged my partner obscurans. I'm sure he'll be up for it, I should be able to confirm tomorrow.

We expect to practice tomorrow and Friday, with the warmup on Saturday as well. We are taking this quite seriously.

I hope FrancesHinden and JAllerton will offer their services again, soon. I'm looking forward to kibitzing but, of course, I'd be delighted to play, whenever needed.

All over it! Got a few bad boards out of the way as a warm up ...

We were nearly an hour late last time - I presume 2PM EST actually means 2PM EDT?

There will be no need for medics. We intend to win. We play one way - all out.

I'll send a PM to our teammates and gsz to disclose general principles to help you guys out.
