Spots are approximate

MP Pairs. 3 was a transfer; 3NT offered a choice of contracts.

How do you rate various leads? Would any factors (eg the strength of the field many of whom are presumably also facing this choice; or how badly you needed a good score) affect your final decision?

I don't normally hold with 'rules', but I think this is an excellent rule:
When on lead against 3NT after RHO has opened 2NT, and you have a 5-card or longer suit which neither opponent has shown, lead it.

So I would lead my systemic heart here in all fields and all forms of scoring and would barely consider any alternative.

(give me 10 5 KJ432 83 QJ109 and I'd consider a discussion more interesting)

Must admit QJT9 clubs and KJ432 heart would be an easy club at MPs for me....on this deal it's a or a . I guess I would lead a , maybe it's not even close...but I would be willing to apologise if my lead cost a trick :P.
I don't think the standard of opps would matter. If I needed a swing? Dunno, I don't really play like that...every place higher is nice :)...a club lead would be quite swingy from KQxx

I've no idea whether its the small heart or the K.
A computer program might give us the the answer, but until then my gut feeling is for the latter.

At pairs, which I don't play so much, I think you're supposed to match the room, so that'd be a heart.

At MP always a according to my rules (good 4 card suit is better than a poor 5 card suit).

In this case, even at imps I'd lead a . With A instead of KQ I'd lead a at imps.
