Partner's 1D is precision style, and you open all balanced 11s.

2 questions:

1) Do you agree with your initial double? Your partner is a good theorist and would expect to play unusual vs unusual style here.
2) If I force the first double on you, do you agree with the second pass?
3) Do you double 4S when it comes back to you?

1) Yes
2) No, I'd bid 4H
3) That's 3 questions.

1 I'd double
2 I'd pass
3 I'm wary, I double but I'm not sure I'm getting too much out of it.

double is fine
passing 3 is fine, parner is a grown man who can bid games by himself, we have nothing in the reds
double 4 looks obvious to me

4H - how can partner know I have this in support?

1) Double
2) Pass. My double was for take-out - unusual against unusual does not apply here. Partner has a minimum and suits are breaking badly.
3) Double. The force should be with us. It's odd that partner only bid 3 with a shapely hand. I don't think that's right when he could be doing it on a balanced 11-count. Perhaps he's not as up on his theory as I thought.
