Fairly standard auction. 5D shows 1 or 4 key cards.

Do you double this for the lead?

nope, we're under the 2 opener, and he is likely to have all the other good diamonds. You have 11 points, partner probably doesn't even have a queen.
Become yourself.

No. I don't know that I want a diamond lead.

I HATE the idea of telling them the diamond finesse is on before they pick the final contract or line of play with AQ to length opposite a stiff.

Conditionally, LHO has already decided on the final contract: he's about to bid 6 opposite sufficient key cards. He must has at least 3 key cards to bid 4NT in this auction; RHO has shown one and they won't be trying for grand as we hold the other key card.

If dummy has an undisclosed singleton opposite AQ to length, declarer won't be worth his 4NT bid but the contract will be cold anyway.

I hate the idea of making partner guess which suit to lead from when I might be able to help.

Yes, I know that I don't want a club lead.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Partner probably has nothing and likely has no clue what to lead. I'm guessing a diamond is my best chance - double.

Double too.

We did not X on 2 so partner will probably guess not to lead a when this is right.
And as pointed out sooner, this is unlikely to help the opps to pick the final contract.
Tired of red/black ♠♥♦♣.
For 4 suits, why not 4 colors ?

Declarer held

QJ9xx
Ax
A
AKQxx

A heart lead was needed (from K10xxx) to beat this one.

Isn't not-doubling just a bet that partner has the king of hearts? A heart lead would only be needed if partner has the king, but a diamond lead could be needed no matter what he has. I would always double here.

Not really, why do you think partner will make an agressive lead when nobody showed a side suit? I never expected partner to underlead K anyway

Really? When he has the king of hearts and nothing else I think he will always lead that against a slam, especially when we didn't double another suit. His best chance must be that we can help him in that suit.
