partner preempted me unforuntate 3club

my partner opened 3♣ and I had 16 pts, the ace♣ and 5♥s and 5♠s. What should I do?

depenindg on vulnerability and position.

Most likely the best bid you have is Pass.

If you intend to bid, you have to start with spades.

Game is roughly 50%, but missing a 50% game being green is not the end of the world
and sometimes it will be less than 50%, e.g. if the 3C preempt was made with a 6 carder,
and a 4 card diamond suit on the side.
