It is with personal regret that the above organiser of the BBO Vu-graph,is i think retireing, after 10 years..What a super job he has done {UNPAID} his outright knowledge,Humour-Patience-and knowledge of the game, will be a hard act to follow.
His selection of voice commentator's to join him, is also top class.
So the next question is, who will replace him, BBO'ers- Do you have any Nominee's.?
Is it possible to organise a Type of Poll to guide the decision makers,I hope the
Formulae at present will be maintained, with new ideas as technology advances.
Enjoy your cricket Roland, and your students, and hope to see and hear you as a guest
commentator from time to time..

I believe VG is now converting to an automated sign-up system. I have no idea about how this will affect content delivery. My guess is that it will make it easier for people to sign up, but the quality will not be as strong, unless someone is actively monitoring who gets to comm the telecasts.

I will miss the "OR, Poland vs China, please" IMs :(

Best of luck and happy trails Roland.

I know nothing about Roland's responsibilities as Vugraph organizer and how much work that entails--probably far more than any of us will ever know. But I do know that he has brought a thoughtful, measured, insightful, and classy voice to every session of voice commentary in which I've ever heard him participate. He will be greatly missed.

Thank you Roland for some very memorable vugraph over the years, your name will always be synonymous with VG.
Just because you are stepping down as organizer I hope that doesn't mean we won't hear you commentating in future.
