If it goes 1-2, isn't it normal to get to 4?

What about:

Pa-Pa-Pa-1
Pa-2-X-Pa
3-X-3-???

What would you do? Would you have done anything differently? No drury, minidrury, or Bergen.

No one is vulnerable and you're playing imp pairs.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

I would invite with that hand, not jump to 4. If I have a short trial bid - then show single, if not 3.
In the auction you posted it depends on vulnerability, but it seems now that both A and A ave are on side. I would probably still bid 3 over the first double in any case, but wether to punish them or not is totally up to how much is the -2x contract versus how much is our game. RHO has and , LHO and partner has and my guess that partner holds at least 3-4 hearts.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

An Aceless 4-loser still merits a raise to game opposite a 9-10 loser raise.

Maybe a game try, maybe just blast. but at the point:
1S (P) 2S (X)
!! Why pass? Did opener really expect to play 2S doubled? Bid 3C, whatever you have for a game try, or jump to 4S at that time. IMO, it looks like a game try hand, and that silly pass gave me no game tries. If there are any tries, partner won't understand that I am trying for game yet passed 2S.

Sorry bro but it would have really helped if you told us the vulnerabilities and scoring type. I thought that was std now to mention it each time you give a hand and an auction, no ? :)

I remain wondering why pass of the dble to 2S?
I assumed this was imps and the colors mean little really.

6/4 = a good playing hand, for me you bid 4S over dble.

I wonder what a redouble of 2x should show.

IMO, it should show a huge 5-3-3-2 opener suggesting possible penalty. Otherwise it would be as much of a waste of time to make a descriptive try for game as the pass was.

Exactly the time to pull the trigger on a game try and respect pards decision. The 2 raise could be just about anything including a small joke.

I would bid 4 initially regardless of form of scoring or colors. Do you really want to give them room to find their 5 save?

I'm not good enough to stay out of game across from xxx Qxx KQxxx xx.

I would have bid 3 over the double, game try
imps odds favor us bidding a short point game.

don't let the double take away the bid you were going to make to start with

sort of the same type of problem I should have made my game try in just like
I planned on before the double, but the double side tracked me. Now had no idea if we
were bidding to make or should be doubling them, would have made life a lot easier for partner
