Hi everyone !

As a huge fan of 4-color decks (that is, suits of 4 distinct colors), I wondered if it was planned to implement that kind of deck in BBO as an optional feature.
My preference would be clubs=green, diamonds=orange, hearts=red, spades=blue (like in the forum, ), but if users prefer another range of colors (like black spades), i don't mind.

Btw, I have a color-blind friend who can still distinguish these colors at close/mid range depending of the shade of green/red (UNO cards are ok), so this should not be a problem.
Tired of red/black ♠♥♦♣.
For 4 suits, why not 4 colors ?

Have you tried Options, and unclicking display cards?

Then you get the suits always in order from spades to clubs and just the number/letter of each card.

You mean playing with the hand as a diagram ? This is not what I want : there are still red ♥/♦ and black ♠/♣.
I would like , , and of 4 different colors, in the bidding as in the card play.

Even if the 4-color was only available with the hand diagram option, I would be satisfied.

Hello,
Any idea if this option is going to be implemented ? At least for the hand diagram display ?

I like it. The easiest implementation would probably do things exactly as now, but display the pips from an indexed table (row zero for the "standard" red and black pips, row one for the green/orange/red/blue pips, and higher rows for favored pips for decks of other nationalities). The same scheme might apply to different nationalities' preferred characters for honor card rank designations.

I like the idea of just changing the pips. Designing a whole new card should not be necessary, what I would just like is that the four suits are visually clearly distinct.

After some research, I think these cards would suit pretty well.
