GIB needs better continuations after support doubles; this auction kind of went off the rails. It should not be bidding past 2 of the agreed major with < 11 total points IMO; with less than game inv it should only be allowed to default to 2d or 2h here. Maybe 2d should be 3+ diamonds, 4 hearts, 2h should be 4+ hearts, 10- points.

Also 3c here by support doubler should be just some unspecific probe, probably 5+ diamonds, not 4cd spade support; with spade support opener can just bid 3 or 4 spades.

Most cues other than direct cue by responder after an overcall should not be assumed to be fit by default, since usually unambiguous raises are available.

GIB has a complicated function that I don't really understand that tells it whether a suit is good enough to introduce at a certain level. In this case, the function says that a biddable suit can be introduced on the 2 level with at least 8 HCP. If you switched north's majors, it wouldn't bother showing the moth-eaten .

I don't care suit quality. It can't go above 2M of support doubled suit without game inv values IMO. Otherwise you are just driving bidding too high, IMO. It's just like you don't game try after 1m-1M-2M, even if your major is 4 cds and partner's raise could be 3. It's not a biddable suit if it's above your possible last making spot, and a forcing bid (I don't think being passed hand should change this).

Here's a hand that shows a hand that I think 2S ought to resemble in the sequence 1d-(p)-1h-(2c);x-(p)-2s. And why doesn't GIB bid 2nt over 2s, giving a shot at the making 3nt?

And why is "partial stop in H" included in the description of the 3 bid?
