Also, it's hard to search for good specific posts after the fact, but when you see a good one you can nominate it then.

I would still vote to my first nomination over this, but the Pet Peeve thread in the Water Cooler (http://www.bridgebas...t-peeve-thread/) is consistently interesting and entertaining (so: thread of the year).

I want to nominate JLOGIC for poster of the year. He will have me to thank me if he wins it.

I nominate Statto for Newcomer of the Year despite his nomination of HighLow21 for the same. I hope 41 posts in December 2011 don't disqualify him.

I counternominate #22:

That's not terribly surprising.

If you make a takeout double with 3-2 in two of the unbid suits, you're quite likely to face a bidding problem. Bidding your longest suit rarely creates a bidding problem, but will sometimes produce a play problem. Not bidding anything at all avoids both, but may produce a scoring-up problem.

Thanks, but I was already nominated last year. Plus I haven't followed up in any kind of timely manner on vague promises of further analysis which I intend to do at some point...

Amazing prediction since the thread is less than a full page.

But I think you'll see some mind-blowing ***** come out of that.
