Is it documented anywhere?
Specifically, it seems like standing up while you're the dummy counts against it, if this is true, could it be modified?

It's true that leaving as dummy counts as incomplete tourney.

I don't know if it can be modified, but i think it has always worked this way... some tourney hosts even announce on tourney chat "don't leave as dummy".

What's the problem with leaving as dummy? You're not holding anyone up.

Oh sorry misread. Not sure about Board completion rate, but if it counts as incomplete in tourney it probably is similar for playing at a table...

Yes, it still counts even in the social rooms - the Main Bridge Club or the Relaxed Bridge Club. So try to stay until partner finishes the hand. It's usually only a few minutes and staying will not count against your completion rate. Can it be modified? Perhaps. We'll ask the programmers if they can do something about this.

It means I will ask them. It depends on whatever else they have on their plate and right now, it's considerable.

Too many people keep jumping from table to table at the sight of declarer hand when they see it is going down [ a lot ].

It should count negatively somehow.

a) I've never been a witness to such a thing. It doesn't show in your history if you walk in in the middle of the hand, regardless of your role, so there's no problem with witnessing down 10 redoubled.
b) Jumping between tables is legit, if I'm placed in a table I don't like (because my partner is an enemy, for instance), I should be allowed to leave without it counting against me.
c) How is the jumping a problem? Those people won't jump away after the hand is over, so what does it matter how many names flash as dummy while the hand is being played?

My board completion rate and tournament completion rate - both are reduced from 93 to 91% even when i did not leave any game in middle. What can be the reason and how to rectify it. Ravishi

You didn't finish a Free Automated Fun tourney on April 2, that caused your TCR to drop.

You left an MBC game on April 7, I haven't looked up the details.

From the documentation:

To begin a hand means you make your first bid on the hand. To complete the hand means you sit and play until the next hand is dealt. Finishing the hand you begin earns you a +1. Bailing before the hand is completed (i.e., before the next hand is dealt), means you get a -1. If the hand is redealt, no penalties are assigned.

So if you leave before you make a bid on the new hand, you haven't started the hand and it doesn't count for or against you.

Otherwise, it would be practically impossible to ever leave a table without being penalized. And while we'd of course like you to stay on BBO as long as possible, we're not that cruel.
