Lead from three small

GIB's convention card says he leads low from three small against suits and top of three small against NT. Is there something about this hand that causes GIB to lead ♣2? (It happened at all 10 tables.)

I think the CC lies, it always leads low from 3 small, against suits and NT. High is always a doubleton.
As for why it chose to lead a club in the first place, it tends to avoid leading away from tenaces; it's trying to get to partner's hand so it can lead through you. If East defends properly (ducking the proper number of times), a club or diamond lead sets you 3.

Now that Barmar is on staff, I thought I'd try again. Please either get GIB to lead top of three small against NT, or change his convention card to reflect reality. Thanks!

Can't you guys change the convention card to reflect GIB's actual lead style?
