I took a view and chose France as the opponent. How their pressure on defense stopped the Spanish offense yesterday was quite impressive (yeah I know, their offense still wasn't very promising).

I picked Germany-Brazil. I think that Brazil will have a smooth road to the finals, and I wouldn't like Argentina-Brazil to be the final game (sorry Gerardo). Argentina-France would also be fun (rather than a boring Germany-France), but I don't think that France is strong enough.

Argentina-England.

If England get to the final against either Germany or Argentina, we will get a proper tear-up - so hope it happens. We haven't had a decent final for years. England-Argentina a few months ago in a friendly (not that they exist between the two) was a classic (which we won). Imagine what will happen with the World Cup at stake...

I still believe that Brazil will rouse themselves out of their stupor and return to form...

Looking forward to Brazil - Argentina in the final...

Hmm. Maybe I am biased, but I thought the final 2002 was pretty good. (Better than all the finals 1982-1990 where Germany was playing, definitely better than 1998, dunno about 1994.)

I know nothing about football. But I know Gerardo. I'm voting for Argentina - Portugal in finals.

All they need is a proper opponent. So far they were simply bored by their opposition. I'd like to see them eliminated before the finals, but odds are on that they will make it.

Germany vs. England would be a terrific final. So much at stake and I'm sure that Engerrland would play a totally different game from what they've shown until now.

France would be bearable as a finalist only because that would mean that they have beaten Brazil ;-).

1994 was a shocker. 1982 wasn't too bad and it had the best goal celebration of all time - Marco Tardelli's!!

Argentina - Brazil.
Argentina out of hope, match today is open.
Brazil, hope not, but don't see how.

Would be a very nice final though (and a first).

Only the one who voted for Germany-France has still the chance to be right.
