I’m shocked that there is no landscape mode on the new iOS app.

Is this a joke update? Now I can’t play on my elliptical nor anytime I need to use landscape mode, which I prefer all the time!

It doesn't support landscape mode. Not convenient when resting iPad in a keyboard. Most iPads rest in keyboards in landscape mode.

I too am bummed about the lack of landscape mode support. I hate having to hold the iPad in portrait mode orientation.

There are so many bad things about the new iPad app. Please make the notification icon telling me how many friends are online go away.

The app doesn’t look modern at all. Sorry but needs much rework.

I ran into the same issue when I first started testing it internally.

I got this roocase dual view case for my Kindle Fire, they have similar produces for iPads.

I sent a request to BBO support re the new update and the omission of the option to play in landscape mode. Their reply was that they will contact the developer but at present it will only be available in landscape. I therefore suggest that everyone send their complaint to support@bridgebase.com to impress on them the urgency in rectifying this issue and maybe point out that the next time they decide on an update maybe it would be a good idea to actually ask the users of the app what is required!

In addition to the lack of a landscape mode this app also does not seem to provide the results of the hands in a tourney as you move along. This is a big issue, as is the lack of landscape mode. I don't understand putting out an "update" that makes the player experience SO MUCH WORSE!

Lack of landscape mode is just horrible. As is not being able to see results as you move along in a tourney.

Is there an undo button on the new version? Couldn't find it today.

BTW, I also do not that there is not a landscape option available.

Please fix this orientation problem quickly. This is very uncomfortable.

There are 2 ways to see results:

1) Tap History at the bottom. The History area now includes history of deals played at your table.

2) Tap the box where the score is displayed. A scoreboard will appear without you having to go to a new screen. From there you can tap boards in the list and you will get another popup that will allow you to review the board you clicked.

Once you get the hang of it, I am confident you will find the new version to be significantly better than the old version in this regard (among many others).

About lack of landscape: the one and only reason we made this decision was because we were under time pressure to do a complete rewrite of the software (because the technology we had been using for old versions had become obsolete). We needed to make a couple of compromises in the interest of speed. Landscape was one of those compromises.

That was a difficult decision to make, but despite the reaction from people I still think this was the right decision. Sorry if you disagree and sorry for the inconvenience.

Given the reaction, I am guessing that implementing landscape mode will be a fairly high priority for us moving forward (though certainly not as high as bug fixes which is where I expect we will spend most of our energy during the next couple of weeks). That being had, I am not currently in a position to make any promises let alone guess at a time frame.

I was pretty happy with the previous version. No landscape mode is a real turn off.

The inability to use the new app in landscape mode is very serious. I can no longer use my stand.

I don’t understand why companies keep updating apps and programs when they work perf3ctly.
There was nothing wrong with the old app so why change it, especially without testing it first.

In the new version of the app (iPhone version), I cannot find the "Start listening" button to hear the voice commentary. Has it been removed?

Using the updated app, and watching vugraph today at a table with voice commentary I was unable to see the voice "box" or anywhere I could press to bring one up. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Did you read the post I linked to above? It explains why we updated the app.

We've been testing it internally for months.
