KO and Swiss both have that advantage over Round-robin.

I like 64 board (or longer) matches but, as previously argued, I would prefer Swiss, Match-points, Best-hand:
  • Swiss avoids the frustration of early elimination and improves the final ranking order. Swiss is like KO with repêchage.
  • Match-points (or BAM) is a better test of skill than imps, in that a single board is less likely to decide a session or even the whole match.
  • Arguably, "Best-hand" is not really Bridge. Nevertheless, it's a better test of skill because human decisions carry more weight in deciding the outcome of a board..
