Thanks. I might not play it until tomorrow as I am still tilting from not simply tapping declarer at trick 2 on board 5 and waiting for our heart trick. The heart shift I made was beyond idiotic.

You might still have got it on a Grosvenor (if GIB was familiar with the concept) if you had not exited with the HJ. If you started with 9xxxx and GIB played this way it might go down in a cold contract so actually a good player might play for you to have done this and still get the endgame wrong.

EDIT: Sorry this analysis is only relevant if North had K9 hearts on the actual hand

cherdano olegru linxu01 m1cha - Let's get faster guys, you are too slow.

I sent linxu01 a challenge 2 days ago. He accepted, and I played it yesterday. The challenge is expiring in 20 hrs from now but I guess he will play in time. Since there is nothing to do for me in 8A right now, I'm about to accept and play Xbabarx' challenge in 8B, and I can't do more than that today. I can play again in 8A tomorrow and on Wednesday.

Well played by ovnclymz, who did not make nearly enough mistakes as I needed him to.

nige1 - nullve 8.5 - 7.5

http://webutil.bridg...911893&u=nullve

board 10: I should have played the J like nige1 did instead of the 2, but how did he get it right after that? :(
board 13: Why didn't GiB finesse diamonds? I thought it might have had something to do with my childish diamond switch until I saw what happened at nige1's table.

nullve - nige1 9 - 7

http://webutil.bridg...931386&u=nullve

board 12: Understandably, my robot partner didn't keep a club to give declarer a losing option in the 2-card ending.

Board 5 was very annoying. I was trying to get GIB to cue CA if he had it so I could go 7. Probably should have known better...
